I fished a bunch of submerged oyster bars yesterday.  The water was teaming with small ladyfish and they were hungry.  Kayak fishing like this requires good timing and a responsive boat.  The W500 is ideal and it allows you to move around much more than any other paddle craft out there.   Emmrods make fighting the fish a simple task and allow you to maneuver around to stay in the action.  The morning was a blast, judged by the fact that I blew thought an entire spool of leader material.

Here we go again.  Using the W500 like a 4 wheel drive pickup.  Right through the grass without hanging up and no slowing down.  No harm at all to the boat or the grass.  This is easy and fun in the Wavewalk , besides you can really sneak up on the fish when you need to.  Best fishing kayak on the water.

Each year when we head to Oak Island there is a trip lure created for each participant.  They are hand made by the man sometimes refereed to as “The Legend”, the best top water angler ever, Mr. Sam Griffin of Moore Haven, Florida  These are the ones we call Mr. Sam’s Lures.  Each person gets one to throw and one to put up as a memento of that years event.  Been doing this a long time.  The way it works is the first and last lure thrown by each person is that years Mr. Sam’s lure.  Of course they catch plenty of fish so they get used quite a bit.
